"The 2009 ASP Project"

moneyThings are great, by George!

With all the doom and gloom about today's economy, we decided to shed a positive light on things, which is why the American Society of Photographers has chosen, "Things are great, by George!" as the theme of the 2009 ASP Project.Your job is simply to take one dollar (just ONE) and create a positive image (heartfelt, humorous, uplifting...) to share with your other ASP members. As always, we'll have a book, a slideshow and one winner when it is all said and done. You can put a dollar somewhere, create something abstract or just use your incredible creativity to tell a story. Pushing ourselves to the Next Level as the Best of the Best is what ASP is all about.

Yes, we know there are rules.
The Government is watching.

We are well aware of the rules concerning the photographing of U.S. Currency which is why we've included a copy of the rules courtesy of our friends at the U.S. Treasury Department. Please don't go breaking these government rules as we are not liable if you end up in jail.

One last, great twist.
Presidential flashcards.

The last great twist? There's an entry fee this year. With your entry - which is due NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 1st - you'll need to send $1. That dollar goes in the prize pot and the winner receives every dime of it. So the more that play, the more it pays. Don't try to 'BUCK' the system - just
get it on the opportunity. Watch for more details in upcoming emails and your ASP Magazine.
